ERS Lead

The purpose of the ERS Lead is to supervise administrators within the Patient Management Centre utilising the ERS System for the arrangement of patients with regards to their appointment. They are responsible for the management of patient referrals and should be proficient in the use of the ERS booking system.

The post holder should ensure ERS referrals and internal referrals are processed appropriately and manage the use of ERS referrals within the Patient Management Centre. They should also ensure any appointment changes and requests made by the patient are carried out in a timely manner.

The ERS Lead will:

  • Support training and development within the team
  • Act as the first point of contact/escalation for administrators within the ERS team
  • Have extensive knowledge/experience using the ERS booking system.
  • Have excellent knowledge of inclusion/exclusion criteria of customer contracts

The ERS Lead is also expected to contribute to administration tasks in relation to the use of the ERS system including but not limited to, dealing with patient referrals and queries and responding to all patient enquiries in a timely and effective manner.

Person Specification:

  • Proven track record of Administration (essential)
  • Experience supervising/managing a team.
  • Worked in healthcare sector previously (desirable)
  • Experience of speaking with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Highly professional with a friendly and emphatic manner
  • Experience of dealing with clients/customers on the telephone
  • Excellent time management abilities, and skill in performing repetitive work according to set procedures
  • High levels of accuracy
  • Good understanding of IT and the ability to learn new systems
