Award win for Physiological measurement

after cutting patient waiting times...

Physiological Measurements have received the Medilink West Midlands Outstanding Achievement award for their development of a high street community ultrasound clinic, located in a Gravesend shopping centre.

The awards, which were held on 24th January 2018, praised the company’s work regarding the innovative clinic in St Georges Shopping Centre, which has the potential to run seven days a week and aims to relieve pressure from GP surgeries and hospitals, as well as their company growth over the last few years.

Since being awarded prime provider by NHS Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commissioning Group, Physiological Measurements have taken patient waiting times in hospitals from five to six weeks to 99% of patients being offered an appointment in 20 days, with 70% of these patients being offered one in 10 days.

Once the high street ultrasound clinic is running to full capacity, it’s expected that over 90% of patients will be offered an ultrasound appointment within 10 days.

Additionally, Physiological Measurements were celebrated for their substantial company growth over the last few years; 32% in 2016 and 34% in 2017, all whilst improving operational efficiency.

Their number of employees has also increased by 20% providing increased job opportunities nationwide.

Co-founder Jon Pither hopes that winning the award will continue to raise awareness of the good work Physiological Measurements are doing:

“We are delighted that our hard work has been recognised, and winning the Outstanding Achievement award means that we can continue to grow as a business and also continue to be a provider of community non-invasive diagnostic services, in partnership with the NHS.

“The new clinic has already helped local health services and has increased patient access, convenience and speed when delivering community diagnostics.
